More Rumney

Rumney can be really great in the summer. Early in the morning, if you’re willing to get up, temps are awesome. I had two mid 50 degree breezy days this past weekend. Granted there are bugs and early summer a lot of things are still wet, don’t forget there is plenty that’s dry! I was hoping to go up and crush Dyno-saur, however I did not get on it until late in the afternoon. I woke up around 6am and went straight up to Waimea. After warming up on Technosurfing I tried Big Kahuna for three burns. I figured out all the beta and one hung it, it’s really short, but intense. After that we took a mid day break, went swimming and had lunch. Around 4pm we went straight up to Orange Crush and I got directly on Dyno-saur. I managed to get to a new high point, however without warming up I got very flashed pumped. My second attempt I fell even higher, two moves from the finish! I then did not have a chance to get back on Dyno-saur, so it’s still waiting.
Sunday I did get back on Big Kahuna and it turns out I was doing it the more difficult way. Big Kahuna gets the 12d/13a grade, and I was doing it the 13a way. A nice Canadian showed me the other beta, and I again one hung and had tore a huge splitter in my pointer finger pad. Bleeding, I decided not to try it any more. There are still many days this season, it’s really just begining! The psych is at an all time high and I plan on going into Beast training mode and trying my hardest. I am busy with work, however I find I do my best when I have a lot to do. I promise I will write an actual nutrition article soon as well. Thanks for reading, more to come!
